Lv. Gurvich et al., THERMODYNAMIC PROPERTIES OF ALKALI-METAL HYDROXIDES .2. POTASSIUM, RUBIDIUM, AND CESIUM HYDROXIDES, Journal of physical and chemical reference data, 26(4), 1997, pp. 1031-1110
The data on thermodynamic and molecular properties of the potassium, r
ubidium and cesium hydroxides have been collected, critically reviewed
, analyzed, and evaluated. Tables of the thermodynamic properties [C-p
degrees, Phi degrees=-(G degrees-H degrees(0)/T, S degrees, H degrees
-H degrees(0), Delta(f)H degrees, Delta(f)G degrees)] of these hydroxi
des in the condensed and gaseous states have been calculated using the
results of the analysis and some estimated values. The recommendation
s are compared with earlier evaluations given in the JANAF Thermochemi
cal Tables and Thermodynamic Properties of Individual Substances. The
properties considered are: the temperature and enthalpy of phase trans
itions and fusion, heat capacities, spectroscopic data, structures, bo
nd energies, and enthalpies of formation at 298.15 K. The thermodynami
c functions in solid, liquid, and gaseous states are calculated from T
=0 to 2000 K for substances in condensed phase and up to 6000 K for ga
ses. (C) 1997 American Institute of Physics and American Chemical Soci
