Reentrant metamagnetic process in HoRu2Si2

The magnetic properties of the tetragonal ternary compound HoRu2Si2 have be en studied on a single crystal. The magnetic susceptibility indicates a hug e magnetic anisotropy with the easy c-axis. The c-axis susceptibility shows an antiferromagnetic behavior with Neel temperature of 18.6 K. Reentrant m etamagnetism appears below T-N in the c-axis magnetization process; a two-s tep, a one-step and then a two-step metamagnetic process appear for T<4 K, 4K < T < 6K and 6K < T < T-N, respectively.
