Abstract
It has been reported that transport properties of polycrystalline EuPdSb sh ows anomalies at around 12 and 18 K. Magnetic and transport properties on s ingle crystal of EuPdSb are reported for the first time in this paper. It i s revealed that magnetic susceptibility along the a-axis shows strong aniso tropy below 12 K. Such features are also observed in high-field magnetizati on using pulsed field. Especially, three jump steps of magnetization are ob served for applying field along the a-axis. Eu-151 Mossbauer study implies that Neel temperature of EuPdSb is 18 K and magnetic phase transition occur s at 12 K, which is consistent with the specific heat measurement.
