Abstract
An applied magnetic field influences the chirality and fractal dimension of metallic electrodeposits in a flat electrochemical cell. The system is mod elled using a diffusion limited aggregation model, where the chirality of t he deposits obtained experimentally is reproduced. Reaction kinetics are mo delled with a variable sticking probability p, 0 < p <less than or equal to > 1, and multiple particles are allowed to walk simultaneously. The fractal dimension, determined using the box-counting method, is found to vary from 1.67 to 1.91. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science BY. All rights reserved.
