Jl. Lopez et al., Influence of particle size on superparamagnetic relaxation of MnFe2O4 particles in ferrofluids, J MAGN MAGN, 226, 2001, pp. 1878-1880
Dried water-based ionic ferrofluid powder samples containing MnFe2O4 spinel
ferrite nanoparticles with average particle size of about 6 and 9 nm have
been studied by Mossbauer spectroscopy and DC magnetization measurements. T
he Mossbauer blocking temperature of the 6 nm sample was 290 K and that of
the 9 nm sample 340 K. From DC magnetization measurements 'magnetic' diamet
ers of 5.2 and 8 nm and a M-s of 41 and 48 emu/g were found for the two sam
ples, respectively. (C) 2001 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.
