Abstract
The synthesis of new compounds based on CeO2 is investigated in our laborat ory. The main attention is directed to the preparation of these compounds w hich can be used as pigments for colouring of ceramic glazes. The synthesis of these compounds is based on high-temperature calcination of starting ox ides. The optimum conditions for the syntheses of compounds have been estim ated and the pigments prepared have been evaluated from the standpoint of t heir structure.
