Abstract
A monolithically integrated and fully packaged Mach-Zehnder interferometer with semiconductor optical amplifiers (MZI-SOA) is demonstrated as polarisa tion-independent high-speed demultiplexer for up to 160 Gbit/s optical time division multiplexed (OTDM) data streams.
