Abstract
Vector atomic vibrations are analysed in lattices with force-constant disor der. The width of the dynamic structure factor, averaged over momentum-tran sfer directions, is shown to scale linearly with the magnitude k of the mom entum transfer, in the majority of lattices, and as k(3) in highly symmetri c lattices (e.g. sc).
