Asymmetric fragmentation dynamics of C-60 is studied with C-60(5+) in Ar8+-
C-60 collisions. A sequential "unzipping" emission of light fragments is fo
und to be the principal mechanism in the fullerene to fullerene conversion
process. Unstable fullerenes C-59(4+) and C-57(4+) are produced in delayed-
then-fast sequential emission of C+ and C-3(+). Fragmentation of a light fr
agment is observed for C-10(2+) issued from a previous binary fission of th
e C-60(5+).
