Abstract
J. Etrillard, P. Bourges, and C.T. Lin [Phys. Rev. B 62, 150 (2000)] compar ed the structural description of the aperiodic structure of the so-called h igh-T-c superconductor Bi-2212 in the incommensurate modulated structure mo del and in the composite, model. According to neutron diffraction data, the y disqualified the first one. Another calculation proves that this conclusi on is not justified. The structural equivalence between both descriptions i s demonstrated, using previous structural results, and using the 4D formali sm for aperiodic crystals.
