We propose that the density fluctuations amplified by the vanishing sound v
elocity effect during the cosmological quark-hadron phase transition lead t
o quark-gluon plasma lumps decoupled from the expansion of the universe, wh
ich rapidly transform to quark nuggets (QNs) before they disperse out. Assu
ming a power-law spectrum of density fluctuations, we investigate the param
eter ranges for the QNs to play the role of baryonic dark matter and give i
nhomogeneities that could affect big-bang nucleosynthesis within the observ
ational bounds of CMBR anisotropy.
