Abstract
Selective refining of heavy vacuum gas oil and a combined fraction of light and heavy vacuum gas oils to remove aromatic and organoelement compounds a nd heavy metals by five-step countercurrent extraction with N-methylpyrroli done or dimethylacetamide in the presence of heptane containing 1 wt % tolu ene was studied.
