Abstract
Alloying elements strongly segregate at ledges in the crept microstructure of Ti48.55Al47Cr2Nb1Ta0.8-W0.2B0.15Si0.3 alloy. The amount of segregation i s related to the stress concentration and distorted lattice caused by the a pplied stress. The segregation can stabilize alpha (2) phase and improve cr eep resistance.
