Abstract
Dowex 1-X8, as a quaternary ammonium resin, on which CI(-)double right arro w Cl- is replaced by dichromate and bisulfate ions (DDB), can be used as a stable and efficient oxidizing reagent for oxidative selection between benz ylic alcohols according to their structures.
