Abstract
A one-dimensional model is suggested for a countercurrent polydisperse gas- liquid flow in a vertical column in which the liquid drops both coagulate a nd break. A method is developed for calculating the intensity of wet purifi cation of a gas in a scrubber. The calculated volumetric mass transfer coef ficient is in satisfactory agreement with observed data.
