Changes in the electroluminescence intensity and kinetics are recorded
in lead magnesium niobate crystals excited by a sinusoidal electric f
ield and the synchronous action of uniaxial mechanical stresses in the
frequency range of inelastic mechanical relaxation. The results are o
f interest for the development of optoelectronic tensometry and new li
nes of research on relaxer ferroelectrics. (C) 1997 American Institute
