Abstract
An on-line apparatus for accurate measurement of float-glass thickness and edge distortion was built and tested in industrial environments. The intell igent part of the sensor is a diffractive optical element. The theory and c onstruction of the apparatus are described, and data from on-line measureme nts are presented.
