Abstract
Transseptal perforation using radiofrequency energy was performed successfu lly in a patient with congenital heart disease and a thickened interatrial septum. This was followed by balloon dilatation of the atrial septal defect . Radiofrequency is presented as a alternative to standard transseptal need le puncture. (C) 2001 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
