Abstract
A simple method, which can be applied to estimate the onset of natural conv ection in a fluid with a temperature-dependent viscosity, is presented here . It is shown that this method is very useful for experimentalists and engi neers to estimate the onset of natural convection in a horizontal fluid lay er. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V.
