Abstract
Quedius (Microsaurus) cruentus (Olivier), widely distributed in Western Pal aearctic region, has been found in New York State. The species is redescrib ed, male genitalia and female terminalia are illustrated and a modification to the key for Nearctic Quedius Stephens is proposed.
