Additional radiographic views of the thoracic limb in dogs

Some lesions of the canine appendicular skeleton are challenging to diagnos e with the use of routine radiographic views. Additional views can be used to identify difficult lesions. Most papers in the reviewed literature usual ly describe a single region of interest such as the elbow or coxofemoral jo int. This article provides a useful collection of selected additional radio graphic views of the canine thoracic limb. The paper also reviews routine r adiographic views and common indications or diseases in need of radiographi c evaluation and provides a written and photographic description of how to obtain these additional views.
