Use of Cosequin((R)) for the treatment of degenerative joint disease in a 7 year-old Appaloosa

This article represents one of two winning entries in the Nutramax/Cosequin (R) Case by Gase-Student Competition. Contest entrants submitted a case re port detailing the disease process and results of therapy with Cosequin (R) In a single animal with joint disease. When this case report was written, Dr. MacLeod was a senior student and Drs. Turner and Lennox and Ms. Ferguso n were employed by the University of Minnesota. Dr. MacLeod is now affiliat ed with Research Animal Resources and Dr. Turner and Ms. Ferguson are still affiliated with the Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Minnesota.
