Abstract
The polymer chain-of-rotator (PCOR) equation of state is extended to high a nd low-density polymer melts as well as to polymer blends through defining a new segment parameter and proposing some mixing rules. The parameters are presented for 11 pure polymers. The molecular form of the PCOR equation of state predicts the specific volumes of pure polymers and four polymer blen ds. The obtained results confirm the validity of the parameters and the mix ing rules. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
