Abstract
We demonstrate an 8 x 2.5 Gb/s wavelength-division-multiplexing metropolita n ring network in which each network-sourced wavelength constitutes a disti nct multiuser virtual ring. The ring's four nodes feature erbium-doped wave guide amplifiers, which promise future integrability.
