Abstract
This study indicated that mice immunized with Brucella abortus RB51 bacteri a and subsequently challenged with B. abortus 2308 were protected from rein fection. After vaccination, both Th1 and Th2 cytokine patterns were observe d, Of those, the early production of gamma interferon seems to have the pro minent role in inducing an immunologically based protection.
