The management of jaundice in patients with primary sclerosing cholangitis
(PSC) is clinically challenging. In patients in whom the recognized precipi
tants for jaundice have been excluded, the outlook is uncertain at best. So

ve is liver transplantation-which may not always be appropriate. We report
three cases of jaundice in patients with PSC in whom corticosteroid therapy
appeared to be beneficial.
