Ma. Bertinetti et al., DISTRIBUTION OF FIBER DIRECTIONS INFLUENCE OVER THE BULK ELASTIC PROPERTIES OF COMPOSITES, Anales de la Asociacion Quimica Argentina, 84(5), 1996, pp. 433-437
In a previous work [1] was proposed an iterative model that allows to
obtain thermal coefficients of a composite for an arbitrary Distributi
on of Fiber Directions (DFD) and for completely anisotropic phases. In
this work is presented the explicit solution, which improves the prev
ious one avoiding the convergence difficulties and allowing to calcula
te the fibers interaction for any volume fractions and any elastic inh
omogeneity factor in order to cover the whole range of possible DFDs a
Gauss distribution is proposed which may be reduced to the limit case
s of random, planar and aligned DFDs.
