A recently found analytic first-post-Newtonian-order solution to the p
roblem of the relativistic oscillatory motion of a rotating disk of du
st is applied to the determination of the gravitational wave emission
and radiation damping. The secular changes of the oscillation period a
nd of the minimal rotation frequency at the rim of the disk are shown
graphically. Gravitational waveforms ace presented which take into acc
ount the damping of the disk through gravitational-wave emission. The
implications for two merging white dwarfs are discussed.
