Abstract
Bathochromic thiazolylazo second-order nonlinear optical chromophore, havin g 2-hydroxylethyl group in a molecule, has been prepared. The temperature d ecomposition of the chromophore was measured by differential scanning calor imetry (DSC). The second-order polarizabilities at zero energy and the disp ersion of second-order polarizabilities were measured by solvatochromic met hod.
