Abstract
A vertebra from the La Meseta Formation in Seymour Island is tentatively as signed to the rare genus Xiphiorhynchus (Teleostei, Perciformes, Xiphiorhyn chidae. It belongs to one of the largest fossil osteichthyes ever described .
