Abstract
A pilot study has been performed into the suitability of grazing incidence X-ray fluorescence analysis for determining leaching profiles in synroc. It is shown that dilute components can be easily measured on a bending magnet beamline, and concentration depth profiles resulting from leaching can be detected. In combination with simplified model leaching profiles, some quan titative information on leach depth can be obtained. (C) 2001 Elsevier Scie nce B.V. All rights reserved.
