T. Tokushima et al., High mass-resolution electron-ion-ion coincidence measurements on core-excited organic molecules, NUCL INST A, 467, 2001, pp. 1523-1525
Total electron-ion-ion coincidence measurements on core excited organic mol
ecules have been carried out with high mass resolution by using multimode (
reflectron / linear) time-of-flight mass analyzer. From the ion correlation
spectra of core excited CH3OH and CD3OH, the reaction pathway to form H-3(
+) (D-3(+)) is identified as the elimination of three H (D) atoms from the
methyl group, not as the inter-group (-CH3, and -OH) interactions. In a PEP
IPICO spectrum of acetylacetone (CH3COCH2COCH3) measured by using a reflect
ron TOF, correlations between ions up to mass number 70 with one-mass resol
ution was recorded. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
