The PS185 experiment at LEAR/CERN has studied strangeness production in (p)
over barp collisions with final states such as <(<Lambda>)over bar>Lambda,
<(<Sigma>)over bar>(0)Lambda + c.c, <(<Sigma>(+))over bar>Sigma (+), <(<Si
gma>(-))over bar>Sigma (-) and KSKS. The hyperon polarisation in the reacti
on (p) over bar C-12 --> <(<Lambda>)over bar>LambdaX was studied in a recen
t analysis. As a spin-off, about 32,000 KSKSX events could be extracted whi
ch come either from (p) over barp or (p) over bar C-12 interactions. We fin
d peaks at 555 MeV/c(2) and 786 MeV/c(2) in the missing mass distributions
which are attributed to the (p) over barp --> K(s)K(s)eta and (p) over barp
--> K(s)K(s)omega reactions respectively.
We obtain sigma ((p) over barp --> K(S)K(S)eta) = (2.78 +/- 0.19 +/- 0.55)m
ub at p((p) over bar) approximate to 1.6 GeV/c when normalising to the know
n cross section for (p) over barp --> K(s)K(s)omega.
