Abstract
Recent experimental studies of the antiproton-deuteron system at low energi es show that the imaginary part of the anti proton-deuteron scattering leng th is smaller than the antiproton-proton one. A microscopic mechanism expla ining this unexpected relation between the imaginary parts of the scatterin g lengths is proposed.
