Abstract
Radiation-induced grain-boundary migration (RIGM) in an Fe-Cr-Ni alloy unde r electron irradiation has been investigated using an atomic resolution hig h-voltage electron microscope. It was observed that the morphology of a gra in boundary changed to a facet-like structure from the initial configuratio n because of the boundary movement during the irradiation, and a remarkable solute redistribution was induced near the migrated boundary interface. Th e mechanism of RIGM has thereby been substantially clarified.
