Abstract

Analyzing powers A(xx)(theta), A(yy)(theta), A(zz)(theta), and A(y)(d)(thet a) of the H((d) over right arrow,He-3) gamma reaction were measured at E-d = 17.5 MeV. A hydrogen gas target sealed with thin carbon foils was used an d the angular distribution of He-3 recoils was observed to measure the anal yzing powers. High-statistics data were obtained over a wide c.m. angular r ange. The results are compared with recent Faddeev calculations based on th e realistic two body potential with and without three-nucleon force incorpo rated.
