Abstract
P. Durand (1808) described three species of Chloris Sw. (Poaceae) for the P hilippines. In fact they are American: C hispida P. Durand is Bouteloua hir suta Lag., C. peregrina P. Durand is C rufescens Lag., and C procumbens P. Durand is Bouteloua prostrata Lag. The likely modern identifies of the othe r six Chloris species treated in the work are noted.
