Abstract
The topic of time management inevitably emerges when researching concepts o f time in organizations. And, as we live in a society where we deal with or ganizations all the time and in a variety of forms, we are continually conf ronted with the way in which time is managed in an 'organizational' way. Th is article departs from a critical overview of time-management literature a nd confronts the assumptions therein with the experiences of a (female) chi ef executive, managing her time. By taking time management literally, it is shown that underneath, other temporal markers are essential and that conce pts of time management necessarily provide a perspective that is risky and too limited.
