L. David et al., New transition metal complexes of gamma-L-glutamyl-5-(2-methoxy-p-nitroanilide): Synthesis, spectroscopic, magnetic and thermal investigations., ACTA CHIM S, 48(3), 2001, pp. 407-415
The CuL2. 5H(2)O, CoL2.H2O, MnL2. 2H(2)O and FeL3. 7H(2)O complexes for HL
= gamma -L-glutamyl-5-(2-methoxy-p-nitroanilide) were synthesized and their
spectral, magnetic and thermal properties were investigated. The thermal s
tability of the synthesized complexes was discussed in the 20-500 degreesC
temperature range, In all the studied complexes gamma -L-glutamyl-5-(2-meth
oxy-p-nitroanilide) acts as a bidentate ligand with coordination involving
the carboxylate oxygen and the nitrogen atom belonging to the amino group o
f the gamma -L-glutamyl fragment. The local structure around the Cu(II) ion
is pseudo tetrahedral. In the Co(II), Mn(II) and Fe(III) complexes the met
al ions are in the high-spin form, with an octahedral stereochemistry.
