Taking the short-fiber composite materials as engineering back-ground, util
izing the existing basic solutions of single inclusion and single crack, th
e plane problem of vertical contact interactions between line crack and rig
id line inclusion in infinite plane (matrix) from the viewpoint of crack fr
acture mechanics is studied. According to boundary conditions, a set of sta
ndard Cauchy-type singular integral equations of the problem is obtainable.
Besides, singular indexes, stresses and stress intensity factors around th
e contact point are expressed. Numerical examples are given to provide refe
rences to engineering.
