Abstract
A 61-year-old man with pulmonary and bone metastases from a primary tr ansitional cell carcinoma of the prostate (TCCP) refractory to MVAC wa s treated with mitoxantrone 16 mg/m(2) i.v. at 3-week intervals. With this, he experienced an objective partial remission lasting 5 months a nd a significant decrease in cancer-related symptoms. Mitoxantrone des erves further evaluation in this rare disease.
