Abstract
The quantities of (Z)- and (E)-2-beta -D-glucopyranosyloxy-4-methoxycinnami c acids (GMCA) and apigenin glucosides of Chamomilla recutita drug were stu died in progenies of selected tetraploid mother plants with a significant h igh and low contents of GMCA. The relations between GMCA and apigenin aglyc one content suggest that among the plants studied, groups of individuals wi th a high content of GMCA (6.4 to 9.2 mg g(-1) DW) and a high (4.1 to 5.1 m g g(-1) DW) and middle (2.5 to 3.6 mg g(-1) DW) contents of apigenin, as we ll as a group with a lower content of both compounds can be distinguished.
