Abstract
The bHLH repressor Olig2 participates in the transcriptional code governing cell fate specification in the ventral spinal cord. By temporally selectiv e interactions with other transcription factors, Olig2 first directs motor neuron fate and later switches to promoting oligodendrocyte production.
