Abstract
A novel electrically tunable microwave phase shifter is proposed based on s urface spin wave propagation in a layered structure containing ferrite and ferroelectric materials. Operating characteristics of the phase shifter are investigated theoretically. It is shown that waveguiding elements from pla nar layered ferrite-ferroelectric structures allow the construction of comp act devices with high electrical tunability achieving 10 degrees /V.
