Abstract
We report on characterisation of optical modes in InP microcavities formed by two-dimensional (2D) photonic crystals (PC) on a suspended membrane. Dif fracted photoluminescence (PL) experiments and numerical calculations are a ssociated in order to analyse the properties of PC microresonators and wave guides and to investigate the coupling between these two building blocks of PC based photonic integrated circuits.
