The computer code COBRA for the computation of the backscattering Rada
r Cross Section (RCS) of arbitrarily shaped metallic objects is presen
ted. The scatterer surface is specified through a set of data points a
nd interpolated by bicubic splines in parameter space and the scattere
d field is computed in the physical optics approximation. A numerical
integration technique for triangular and rectangular parametric subdom
ains, based on an algorithm with error control, is described.
