High-spin states in Pm-143 have been investigated via the Te-128(F-19, 4n g
amma) Pm-143 reaction using techniques of in-beam gamma -spectroscopy. gamm
a -ray singles, gamma-gamma coincidences, gamma -ray anisotropies and DCO r
atios have been measured. Based on these measurements, the level scheme of
Pm-143 has been extended up to excitation energy of 10535. 4keV including 3
2 new gamma rays deexciting of 17 new levels. The yrast levels in Pm-143 ca
n be understood qualitatively in the framework of a weak-coupling model.
