Using the new model developed for the light nucleus reactions, the cross se
ctions of the reaction n + O-16 have been calculated, especially the double
differential cross sections of the outgoing neutrons have been calculated.
To conserve the angular momentum, the angular momentum coupling effect is
taken into account in the preequilibrium emission process. Because of the l
ightness of target mass, the recoil effect is also taken into account to ma
intain the energy balance. The fitting of the calculated results and the ex
perimental data shows that this method is successful in calculating the dou
ble-differential cross section of the light nucleus.
