Abstract
The application of the three-fluid plasma model to the description of disch arge in Stationary Plasma Thrusters is discussed. The quasi 1-D versions of such a model are proposed. These versions correspond to different approxim ations applied to electron momentum equation. This results in different app roaches to the description of ion flow transition through the ion sound bar rier. Examples of stationary solutions of model equations are presented.
