Abstract
The crystal structure of N-(3',4',5'-trimethoxybenzylidene)-3-chloro-4-fluo roaniline has been determined by X-ray methods. The compound crystallizes u nder monoclinic system (space group P2(1)/n) with cell parameters a=7.086(4 ) Angstrom b=8.328(1) Angstrom and c=26.139(9) Angstrom beta= 91.29(4). The structure has been solved by direct methods and refined to R=0.049 using 2 144 reflections. The molecule on the whole is non-planar and the crystal st ructure is stabilised by Van der waals interactions.
